SCRUBS FOR EPSOM & ST. HELIER
Marion Szuman
Sewing scrubs was about so much more than producing garments. It fulfilled the needs of the sewers as well as the recipients.
Sewing fulfilled the desire to help during a very worrying episode. It was a practical contribution to help ease an enormous problem, a way of feeling that you were not helpless. Seeing the profound gratitude of the medical teams as they received such basic necessities, was powerful.
To see humanity come together to help one another showed the strength of unity. A very strange and special time to remember.
